Capping Fee

from $50.00

Hunting with the Wateree Hounds is open to guests of members, provided they have obtained prior approval from the Masters. It is preferred that these guests are brought by a member in good standing who has already sought permission from the Masters before the event.

Guests should aim to be at the Meet at least 30 minutes before the hounds are move off. Upon arrival and before riding, guests must submit a signed waiver and pay the capping fee to the secretary. It's a common practice to put your waiver and capping fee in a labeled envelope with your name and the date. For minors, a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian is required. The capping fee is set at $50 during the cubbing season (October to early November). For the formal season (post-Opening Meet), the fee is $75, and for the opening/closing meets, it's $100.

We request that participants dress appropriately and neatly for our events, in attire suitable for equestrian activities. During the cubbing season and on weekdays in the regular season, a ratcatcher and a safety helmet with a chin strap are advised. For Saturday and Sunday meets in the formal season, a navy or black jacket, white stock tie, wheat or canary breeches, black dress boots, and a safety helmet are mandatory. For additional information on attire, please refer to the 'Attire' section at the top of our website.
