Meredith Somerset, Master, Whipper-In, Veterinarian, and mother of two, epitomizes the spirit of our hunt in her exemplary care of our hounds and unfailing commitment to her various roles. In spite of her busy schedule, her presence always bursts through like a beacon of light, consistent with a smile that knows no rest, and laughter bounces from field to field, lifting up all those around her.

2020 - Present

Ned Towell, a Founding Master and 1st field leader, is at the core of Wateree Hounds business on a daily basis, with the hunt being a family affair: his wife Mary Katherine is the Hunt Secretary, his mother-in-law Kitty Farnell the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, and his parents, Jack and Lisa, board members and owners of Finally Farm, where the kennels reside. Ned's dedication to the hunt and passion for good sport are evident in his daily commitment to the club's success.

2020-2023, 2024-Present

We are eternally grateful to Vince for the hard work and dedication he poured into the hunt as an Honorary Huntsman and Founding Master during our first three seasons, in which he built our pack from just a few hounds and gave us great sport. After a one-year hiatus in the 2023-2024 season, he returned as a Master, with the same jovial attitude that never fails to brighten the mood.
